Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
Silver tungsten with a hammered centre and polished stepped edges. 8mm. The hammered texture catches light from multiple angles — it shifts as your hand moves, picking up different reflections depending on the light. Most buyers choose the Reflection as a wedding band or a gift for a partner who wants something with more character than a plain polished ring.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. The hammered texture is forged into the tungsten itself, not stamped onto a coating, so it holds its pattern permanently. It won’t scratch from everyday wear, won’t tarnish, and won’t react with skin. If you’ve had irritation from other metals, tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic. Comfort-fit interior. Engravable. Dispatched today.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery. The hammered centre and polished edges will hold their contrast indefinitely under normal daily wear. Gold sits at 2.5 to 3 on the same scale — that’s not a subtle difference. Nigel from Letchworth described his tungsten ring: “Even better than I had expected — beautifully finished, has a great weight.”
Tungsten carbide is comparable in density to 18K gold. The Reflection has real weight on the hand — it feels like proper jewellery, not a lightweight stand-in. Becky from London described a tungsten ring from our range: “Really good quality ring, nice and heavy, and looks lovely on.”
The hammered centre creates a surface of small, irregular facets. Each one catches light at a different angle, so the ring shifts and changes as your hand moves. The polished stepped edges frame it cleanly. David from Richmond described the Reflection: “The contrast between the polished edges, and hammered centre, is exquisite, and the different textures make it wonderful to wear.”
Every Reflection arrives in a presentation box. Add a date, name, or message with laser engraving done in-house. We engrave and post the same day. Darren described the process: “Great quality ring, great customer service, fast delivery time even with the engraving.”

Who This Ring Is For
The Reflection is for men who want more visual interest than a plain polished band but don’t want anything ornate. The hammered texture gives it character without making it look busy. It reads as distinctive rather than decorative.
Most buyers choose it as a wedding band or a gift for a partner. David from Richmond tried several styles before settling on the Reflection as his wedding band. He described the experience with Clare as “wonderful throughout” and said he found a ring that would be “an awesome wedding band.”
The centre of the ring is hammered — a surface of small, irregular facets forged into the tungsten. Each facet catches light at a slightly different angle, so the ring shifts and changes depending on how your hand moves and where the light falls. It’s not a uniform pattern. No two points on the surface reflect identically.
The stepped edges are polished to a mirror finish. The contrast between the rough, textured centre and the clean, bright edges is what defines the Reflection’s design. At 8mm, there’s enough surface for the hammered pattern to show its range. The comfort-fit interior is curved for all-day wear.David from Richmond described it: “The contrast between the polished edges, and hammered centre, is exquisite, and the different textures make it wonderful to wear.” — David Hewitt, Richmond — verified Reflection buyer
Why Tungsten
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — 9 on the Mohs scale, one step below diamond. It won’t scratch from everyday contact, won’t bend under pressure, and won’t tarnish from moisture or skin. The hammered texture is forged into the tungsten itself. It’s a permanent surface detail, not a coating that can wear away.
Tungsten can’t be resized. If the fit isn’t right, return it free and we’ll exchange it the same day it arrives.
How it Compares
A hammered-finish wedding band from a high-street jeweller costs several times what you’d pay here. Traditional gold hammered bands also scratch and deform over time — the hammered pattern softens and loses definition with daily wear. Tungsten holds the texture permanently.
Buyers across our tungsten range consistently describe their rings as looking and feeling far more expensive than they expected. Jamie from Ely said his tungsten ring “looks more expensive than the actual cost.”
Buying This as a Gift?
The presentation box does the work for you — no wrapping needed. Add a laser engraving and it becomes personal. We engrave in-house and post the same day.
Jenna from Egham bought a wedding band from our range and said:
“So happy with my husband to be’s wedding band. A design that was more him and something we hadn’t found anywhere else.”
— Jenna Cutmore, Egham — tungsten range buyer

“Stunning ring. The contrast between the polished edges, and hammered centre, is exquisite, and the different textures make it wonderful to wear.”
David Hewitt, Richmond
Both written Reflection reviewers gave it five stars. David chose it as his wedding band after trying several styles, praising the contrast between textures. Susan described it as really good quality. Across the wider tungsten range, buyers consistently notice the weight and the finish — tungsten’s density is close to 18K gold, and the hammered surface shifts with the light in a way photographs only partly capture.
“Really good quality ring.”
Susan Williams
Tungsten range buyers repeatedly describe their ring as looking and feeling more expensive than they expected. The weight is the first thing they notice — it reads as proper jewellery, not a lightweight stand-in. Clare and the team are mentioned by name across hundreds of range reviews for patient service, fast delivery, and smooth exchanges. David described Clare as wonderful and very patient throughout his search for the right ring.
