Red is one of our smaller colour categories — four rings, all combinations of red with either black or silver tungsten. We have not expanded beyond this because red on a ring works in narrow doses; used as the dominant colour it tends to read as costume rather than considered, and we would rather keep the range small and confident than pad it with rings that do not work.

The Amado is the most direct of the four — brushed black tungsten with bevelled red edges. If you are unsure where to start in red, the Amado is the safe first look. The red sits at the outer edges of the band rather than dominating the surface, which is what makes it work as an everyday ring rather than a one-off statement piece — and at £54 it is also the most accessible price point in the range. The Enrapture takes the same black-and-red idea but inverts it: polished black tungsten with a vivid red centre groove. The red is more visible here, more deliberately the focus, which suits a buyer who wants the colour to be unmistakably part of the ring.

The Phoenix is the textural alternative — black tungsten with a red carbon fibre inlay rather than a coloured groove. The weave pattern of the carbon fibre gives the red a more complex, layered quality than a solid finish can; light catches it in different directions depending on the angle. It is the most distinctive of the four and tends to attract buyers who want red but find the simpler bands too plain.

The Flame is the only ring in this range that uses silver rather than black as the base. Brushed silver tungsten with a red centre groove and a red interior — the red is more vibrant against the lighter base, and the fully-coloured inside gives the ring a hidden detail visible only to the wearer. It suits a buyer who likes the idea of red but wants it as accent rather than statement.

What to Know Before You Choose a Red Ring

The red finish on these rings is applied using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) — the same coating process used on high-end Swiss watch cases. The colour is bonded to the metal surface under vacuum at a molecular level, rather than deposited on top of it the way older electroplating works. Electroplating sits on the surface and wears through at contact points; PVD becomes part of it. The practical difference is significant, and it is why we see very few returns or complaints about colour fading or lifting. It will not survive being ground against abrasive surfaces indefinitely — no finish will — but for everyday wear including manual work and time at the gym, it holds up well.
