Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
A silver polished tungsten ring with a black faux meteorite inlay running through the centre. 8mm width. The meteorite pattern is sealed under resin, so the whole ring is smooth and polished — the detail is visual, not textured. The contrast between the bright silver frame and the dark meteorite centre gives the Gallant a look that stands apart from plain bands. Most of our buyers pick it as a gift for their partner or as a wedding band for someone who wants more character than a standard ring.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. The silver finish is bonded using PVD coating, the same vapour deposition process used on luxury watches. It won’t scratch, tarnish, or react with skin. Comfort-fit interior. Engravable. Dispatched today.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Tungsten carbide sits at 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. The silver PVD finish is bonded at a molecular level, not plated on top. The meteorite inlay is sealed under resin, smooth and protected. Marie from Barrow in Furness described it as “well made” with a finish that “just feels right.”
The faux meteorite pattern sits beneath a smooth resin layer inside the polished silver tungsten frame. The detail is all visual — the ring feels polished all over, but the pattern gives it a depth and character that plain bands don’t have. Chris from Ashton-under-Lyne called it “stunningly beautiful — elegantly simple design that just looked so unique.”
The Gallant has weight to it — tungsten carbide is comparable in density to 18K gold. It feels substantial on the hand without being heavy. Kyle from Newport noticed it straight away: “It’s a beautiful ring with some weight to it. It looks lovely on.” Marie from Barrow in Furness agreed: it “has a nice weight to it and just feels right.”
Every ring arrives in a presentation box. Add a date, name, or message with laser engraving done in-house. We engrave and post the same day. Marcelo from Douglas ordered two Gallant rings engraved for himself and his partner: “Extremely well crafted, gorgeous finish and extremely comfortable on the finger. Great product and great service through and through.”

Who This Ring Is For
The Gallant is predominantly bought as a gift. Partners choosing something for a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas. Wives and girlfriends picking a wedding band their other half will actually want to wear. Michelle bought it for her husband’s wedding anniversary. Bryony bought it as a 40th birthday present. Rachel bought it for her son. Cliodhna chose it for her boyfriend. The occasions differ, but the pattern is the same — someone sees the meteorite pattern and knows it’s different from everything else they’ve looked at.
The second group: men choosing their own ring. Lee from Stockton-on-Tees bought the Gallant as an upgrade from a plain gold band that no longer fit. Marcelo from Douglas ordered two — engraved, one for himself and one for his partner. Whether it’s a wedding band or an everyday ring, the appeal is the same: more character than a plain band without being flashy.
An 8mm silver polished tungsten band with a black faux meteorite inlay running through the centre. The meteorite pattern is sealed under a clear resin layer, so the entire ring is smooth and polished to the touch. The detail is visual — you can see the meteorite pattern beneath the surface, catching the light from different angles, but the ring itself feels clean and polished all over.
The polished silver tungsten frame sits either side of the inlay. The contrast between the bright silver frame and the darker meteorite centre gives the Gallant its presence on the hand.
“Stunningly beautiful ring. Elegantly simple design that just looked so unique.” — Chris Inman, Ashton-under-Lyne
Why Tungsten Lasts
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — 9 on the Mohs scale, one step below diamond. It won’t scratch from everyday contact, won’t bend under pressure, and won’t tarnish from moisture or skin.
The silver finish is applied with PVD coating — a vapour deposition process that bonds colour at a molecular level rather than plating it on top. It’s the same process used on luxury watches. The result: a finish that holds indefinitely under normal wear.
Tungsten can’t be resized. If the fit isn’t right, return it free and we’ll exchange it the same day it arrives.
How It Compares
A meteorite-style ring from a specialist jeweller typically costs several times what you’d pay here — and often uses the same tungsten carbide base. The material is the same. The craftsmanship is the same. The difference is the markup.
Across Newman Bands’ tungsten range, the most repeated observation from buyers is that these rings look and feel like they cost far more. The weight of the tungsten, the meteorite detail, and the PVD finish all contribute to that impression. Jessica from Keighley described it as “absolutely amazing quality” and noted she was “so impressed of the unique designs.”
Buying This As a Gift?
The presentation box does the work for you — no wrapping needed. Add a laser engraving and it becomes personal. We engrave in-house and post the same day. Up to 28 characters — a date, initials, or a short message.
Rachel bought the Gallant for her son: “Lovely piece of jewellery, my son loves it!”

“Ordered 2 of these, engraved, for me and my partner. Extremely well crafted, gorgeous finish and extremely comfortable on the finger. Support throughout the order couldn’t have been better.”
Marcelo Castro, Douglas
Over 10 of the 19 written reviews mention quality unprompted. The meteorite pattern gives the Gallant character that plain bands lack, and buyers consistently describe it as distinctive without being loud. Lee from Stockton-on-Tees switched from a plain gold band and calls it a great upgrade. Every one of the 24 verified reviews is five stars.
“Bought for my husband for our Wedding anniversary. He loves it. The ring is gorgeous, it arrived quickly and I would definitely recommend.”
Michelle Harris
Over half the Gallant reviews are from gift buyers — partners, wives and mothers buying for birthdays, anniversaries and milestone presents. Several buyers say the meteorite pattern has depth that product photos struggle to capture, and the ring looks even better in person. Backed by 100,000+ orders shipped and 15,000+ verified reviews across the Newman Bands range.
