Your Perfect Ring – Try it at Home
When your ring arrives, try it on, check the fit, and make sure you love it in person. If it's not right for any reason, return it free within 100 days. The only risk is finding one you love.
Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
A black tungsten band at 8mm with a natural brown wood inlay running through the centre, the grain pattern unique to each ring. Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewellery: it won’t bend, deform, or tarnish. A men’s wedding ring built around a natural material with genuine variation between every ring made: engravable, dispatched same day.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Brown natural wood inlay through the centre of the full black band. The grain pattern varies between individual rings.
Available at 8mm. The width gives the wood inlay room to sit as the dominant feature of the band.
The wood inlay is contained within a tungsten carbide frame on each side. The hardness of the frame protects the inlay from impact and wear.
Comfort-fit curve, rounded interior slides on easily, sits flat all day.

Black Tungsten, Natural Wood
The Buck is a black tungsten band built around a natural wood inlay. The dark base and the warm wood grain create a combination that does not look like most tungsten rings.
Unlike the silver-framed wood rings in the range, the Buck puts the wood against a full black surface. The effect is that the natural grain reads more warmly because the contrast with the black is greater.
The grain pattern in the wood is natural, which means the ring you receive will have its own character. That variation is part of what makes a wood inlay ring worth buying.
The wood inlay in the Buck is set within a tungsten carbide frame. Tungsten is hard enough to hold the inlay securely against the lateral pressure that would damage wood set in a softer metal band. The inlay is sealed and protected by the frame on each side.
Tungsten cannot be resized, but Newman Bands offers a free size exchange if the fit is not right first time.
“This review is very long overdue as I purchased the ring in 2023 and rediscovered the email about leaving a review after a clearout of my inbox but I’ve had 2 years experience with the ring.
I was originally a bit sceptical having paid out £900 on a wedding ring for my wife that I could get one that looked this good for £50. I was delighted when it turned up and looked even better than the picture. I’ve got multiple compliments as it looks so different from a traditional band. I wasn’t sure how long it would last or if it would chip but 2 years on and it looks as good as when it came out the box.
I’d definately reccomend this.”
Bryn, a UK buyer
The Buck has 29 reviews. The consistent observation is that the wood grain is more individual and more characterful in person. Buyers who chose the black tungsten base over silver find the contrast gives the wood more presence. Several note it was bought as a wedding ring and has held up well through physical work.
You have 100 days to try it at home. If it’s not right for any reason, return it free.
