Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
A polished silver tungsten band at 8mm with a natural wood inlay running through the centre, the grain pattern unique to each individual ring. Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest metals used in jewellery: it won’t bend, deform, or tarnish. A men’s wedding ring built around a natural material that means no two rings are identical: engravable, dispatched same day.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Brown natural wood runs through the centre of the silver band. The grain pattern is unique to each ring; no two Woodsman rings are identical.
Available at 8mm. The width gives the wood inlay the surface area it needs to read as the dominant feature of the band.
The wood inlay is contained within a tungsten carbide frame with bevelled edges. The hardness of the frame protects the inlay from impact and lateral pressure.
Comfort-fit curve, rounded interior slides on easily, sits flat all day.

Natural Wood at the Centre
The Woodsman is built around a wide band of natural wood set into a polished silver tungsten frame. The bevelled edges on each side give the transition from wood to metal a clean finish. At 8mm the wood inlay has real presence across the band.
The grain pattern in the wood is natural, which means the ring you receive will not look exactly like the product image. It will look like that ring, with that grain, which is part of what makes the Woodsman worth buying.
Mark, a UK buyer, said he would secretly not want everyone to have the same ring as him. That is the honest response to a ring where the inlay is genuinely different on each piece.
The wood inlay in the Woodsman is set within a tungsten carbide frame. Tungsten is hard enough to protect the inlay from the lateral pressure that would damage wood set in a softer metal band. The inlay is sealed and held in place by the hardness of the frame, not just by adhesive.
Tungsten cannot be resized, but Newman Bands offers a free size exchange if the fit is not right first time.
Men buying a ring with a natural wood inlay tend to say the same thing once it arrives: the detail looks more alive in person than the product images suggest. Newman Bands has shipped wood inlay designs across the range and the consistent feedback is that the grain reads differently depending on the light, and that the natural variation between rings is something buyers notice when they have it in hand. The Woodsman is 8mm tungsten, which gives the wood inlay enough surface area to read clearly as the centrepiece of the band. The question buyers most often have with a wood inlay ring is whether the grain holds its character through daily wear. Tungsten carbide is hard enough to protect the inlay through the kind of daily contact that would damage the same detail in a softer metal.
