Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
Brushed silver tungsten with a natural wood inlay running around one edge, framed by a thin band of polished silver tungsten. 8mm. Flat profile. The wood grain is organic — browns and tans with visible natural patterning that varies from ring to ring, so no two are identical. The off-centre wood inlay gives the Native an asymmetric character that sits somewhere between rugged and refined. A popular choice as a wedding band and a go-to gift for partners who prefer something with more character than a plain metal ring.
Tungsten carbide scores 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. The brushed silver finish won’t scratch from everyday wear, won’t tarnish, and won’t react with skin — and the brushed texture is naturally forgiving of the minor marks that would show on a fully polished surface. It carries real weight on the hand — comparable to 18K gold — so it feels substantial from the moment you put it on. Hypoallergenic. Comfort-fit interior. Engravable. Dispatched today.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, one step below diamond. The brushed silver finish resists scratches from keys, tools, and daily contact that would mark gold or platinum within weeks, and the thin polished tungsten band framing the wood keeps its mirror edge sharp. The silver is bonded using PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) — the same process used on luxury watches — so the finish won’t peel, tarnish, or react with skin. David from Bradford has had compliments since the day he started wearing his: “A stunning ring.”
The wood inlay runs around one edge of the ring with natural grain patterning — every piece is unique, so no two rings have exactly the same look. A thin band of polished silver tungsten frames the wood and separates it from the brushed silver surface. The warm browns and tans of the wood sit against the matte brushed silver with the polished edge catching light between them. Emily from Sittingbourne bought it for her partner and called it “a fantastic and unique ring” that “looks so much more expensive than it is.” Lorraine from Evesham agreed: “Photos don’t do it justice.”
Tungsten carbide has almost the same density as 18K gold. You’ll feel real weight on your hand — solid and substantial — without the price tag of a precious metal. It’s also hypoallergenic. The nickel-bonded tungsten won’t react with skin, sweat, or water, so if you’ve had irritation from other metals, this is a safe choice. Lee from the UK used the free ring sizer first, ordered, and said it “fits perfectly.”
Every ring arrives in a presentation box. Add a date, name, or message with laser engraving done in-house — we engrave and post the same day. Chloe from Leeds chose the Native as her husband’s wedding band: “Couldn’t be happier, so pleased!” Corey bought it as a gift and confirmed it was “true to size” and “a great gift.”

Who This Ring Is For
Two groups buy the Native more than any other. The first: men choosing a wedding band that has natural character without being loud. They’ve scrolled past plain silver bands and all-black designs, and the wood inlay stopped them. Chloe from Leeds chose it as her husband’s wedding band and “couldn’t be happier.”
The second: partners and family choosing a gift for someone who appreciates natural materials. Emily from Sittingbourne bought it for her partner and called it “a fantastic and unique ring.” Corey bought it as a gift too — “partner loved it.”Whether it’s a wedding band, a birthday, or a ring to wear daily, the Native appeals to buyers who want something that looks and feels different from a standard metal band.
A solid 8mm brushed silver tungsten band with a natural wood inlay running around one edge. A thin polished silver tungsten line frames the wood, separating it cleanly from the wider brushed silver surface.
The wood grain is organic — warm browns and tans with visible natural patterning that shifts slightly from ring to ring. The off-centre placement gives the ring an asymmetric character — industrial metal meeting natural material on one side, clean brushed silver on the other. The flat profile and comfort-fit interior keep it easy to wear every day. At 8mm, it has presence on the hand without being oversized.“Beautiful. Photos don’t do it justice.” — Lorraine Bennett, Evesham
Why Tungsten
Tungsten carbide scores 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one step below diamond. It resists scratches from virtually anything you’ll encounter daily: keys, tools, door handles, gym equipment. Gold sits at 2.5–3 on the same scale and shows marks within weeks of daily wear. Tungsten holds its finish indefinitely — the brushed silver body stays matte, the polished frame stays bright.
It weighs almost the same as 18K gold — dense enough to feel substantial, not light or cheap. Jewellery-grade tungsten carbide is nickel-bonded and hypoallergenic. It won’t tarnish, corrode, or react with skin. It’s chemically inert, so water, sweat, and cleaning products won’t affect it.
Tungsten can’t be resized — the hardness that makes it scratch-proof also makes it impossible to stretch or compress. If the fit isn’t right, return it free and we’ll exchange it the same day it arrives. Lee used the free ring sizer first and called the whole process “great service all round.”
How it Compares
A wood inlay tungsten ring from a specialist jeweller typically costs several times what you’d pay here — and uses the same tungsten carbide base with the same PVD process. The material is the same. The craftsmanship is the same. The difference is the markup.
The most consistent observation from Native buyers is that the ring looks and feels more expensive than they expected. Emily put it plainly: “It looks so much more expensive than it is, it feels really good quality.” David has had “lot of compliments” since he started wearing his. The combination of brushed silver, a thin polished frame, and a natural wood edge does more visual work than most rings twice the price — and the ring does the talking for you.
Buying This as a Gift?
The presentation box does the work for you — no wrapping needed. Add a laser engraving and it becomes personal. We engrave in-house and post the same day.
The wood inlay makes the Native one of the easier rings to choose for someone else — the natural grain gives it instant visual appeal and character without being flashy. Emily bought it for her partner and he loved it. Corey bought it as a gift and called it “a great gift” with “quick delivery.”

“Brought the native ring for my partner and all I can say is what a fantastic and unique ring. My partner loves it. It looks so much more expensive than it is, it feels really good quality. It looks fabulous on.”
Emily Harvey, Sittingbourne
The natural wood inlay gives the Native character that most men’s rings lack — the organic grain patterning means every ring is slightly different. Buyers confirm the ring looks better in hand than on screen, and David from Bradford has had compliments since the day he started wearing his.
“Beautiful. Photos don’t do it justice.”
Lorraine Bennett, Evesham
Several Native buyers purchased it as a gift or wedding band, with consistently positive reactions. Chloe from Leeds chose it for her husband’s wedding band. Buyers also highlight the service — free ring sizers, fast dispatch, and a real team in Horsham handling every order personally. Every verified Native buyer gave it five stars.
