THE DETAILS
Complete polished gold PVD finish across the full surface and interior of the band.
Available at 6mm and 8mm. The 6mm sits at a traditional wedding band width; the 8mm has more presence.
The gold finish is applied using PVD on a tungsten carbide base. The hardness of the tungsten protects the finish at the contact points where gold-plated rings on softer base metals wear through first.
Comfort-fit curve, rounded interior slides on easily, sits flat all day.

The Aurum is a polished gold tungsten band. Full surface, no decoration, no secondary colour. The gold PVD finish covers the entire band and the interior. It reads as a gold ring with the durability of tungsten.
It suits buyers who wanted the gold look without the cost or the maintenance issues of a precious metal band, or buyers who needed a gold ring in a size that a traditional jeweller could not supply.
At 6mm the Aurum is a traditional ring width. At 8mm it has more presence on the hand.
The gold finish on the Aurum is a PVD coating applied over tungsten carbide. Tungsten is hard enough to hold the gold finish at the contact points where gold-plated rings made from softer base metals lose their coating first. The Aurum’s finish will hold its colour through daily wear without the surface scratching or dulling in the way a solid gold ring would.
Tungsten cannot be resized, but Newman Bands offers a free size exchange if the fit is not right first time.
