Engrave Your Ring
Add a date, initials or message, laser engraved in-house and dispatched the same day. Most engravers add days to delivery. We don't.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — just below diamond. Only a diamond can mark it.
Tungsten don't react with air, water or skin — ever. Our colours outlast precious metal equivalents.
Built for long-term wear — retains its shape and finish even with daily use.
Every ring arrives in a presentation gift box — no extra packaging needed. Ready to give exactly as it arrives.
White gold tungsten with a brushed centre and polished bevelled edges. Available in 6mm or 8mm. The white gold PVD coating gives it a brighter, warmer silver tone — closer to what you’d see in a white gold band from a jeweller than the natural grey of plain tungsten. Most buyers choose the Crest as a wedding band or a gift for a partner who wants something clean, classic, and low-maintenance.
Tungsten carbide rates 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. The white gold finish is bonded using PVD coating, the same vapour deposition process used on luxury watches. It won’t scratch from everyday wear, won’t tarnish, and won’t react with skin. If you’ve had irritation from other metals, tungsten carbide is hypoallergenic. Comfort-fit interior. Engravable. Dispatched today.
What makes this ring worth it?
Walk into a jeweller and you’ll find versions of our rings for 3–4 times the price. The difference isn’t the ring — it’s the overheads. We work directly with the craftspeople who make them and carry the stock ourselves, which is how we can sell a ring that genuinely lasts for a fraction of high street prices.
Traditional gold and silver scratch, bend and lose their shine. That doesn’t happen here. We use a high end process called PVD plating which is the same process used on high end watches to keep your ring looking great.
Why buy from Newman Bands?
We’re based in Horsham and dispatch the same day for orders before 5pm (11am Saturday). That includes engraved rings — we hold stock and engrave on site, which is why we can still get it to you in 1–2 days. Most online ring sellers take 2 weeks or more.
We’ve fulfilled over 100,000 orders since 2019 and hold over 10,000 five-star reviews across Trustpilot and Reviews.io. Any questions before you buy — contact us directly. No chatbots, no outsourced support. We handle it ourselves.
What if it doesn't fit?
Tungsten and titanium can’t be resized, so we offer free exchanges or refunds on unengraved rings — no questions asked. If you want a refund or an exchange, you have 100 days to return it free for any reason.
Not sure of your size? Select “I don’t know my ring size” from the dropdown and we’ll send you a free ring sizer first.
THE DETAILS
Tungsten carbide sits at 9 on the Mohs hardness scale — one below diamond. White gold is 2.5 to 4. That’s not a marginal difference. The white gold PVD finish is bonded at a molecular level, not plated on top. It holds its colour without the rhodium replating that traditional white gold needs every few years. Michael from Kingston upon Hull described the Crest simply: “Lovely, quality ring.”
Tungsten carbide is comparable in density to 18K gold. It feels substantial on the hand — not light, not tinny, not like a ring that cost less than it did. Becky from London described a tungsten ring from our range: “Really good quality ring, nice and heavy, and looks lovely on.”
The Crest uses PVD coating — the colour is bonded permanently. No tarnishing, no maintenance. Jamie from Ely described a ring from our tungsten range: “Looks more expensive than the actual cost.”
Every Crest arrives in a presentation box. Add a date, name, or message with laser engraving done in-house. We engrave and post the same day. Dennis from Tamworth bought the Crest and described the experience: “Great customer service. Nice packaging, beautiful ring and arrived on time.”

Who This Ring Is For
The Crest is for men who want the look of white gold without the price or the ongoing maintenance. It’s bought as a wedding band, a gift from a partner, and as an everyday ring for anyone who prefers a brighter, warmer silver tone over the natural grey of plain tungsten.
Some buyers are replacing a traditional white gold ring that’s lost its rhodium finish. Others are choosing it for a first wedding band because they work with their hands and need something that won’t scratch or deform. Rebecca from Ayr described her partner’s wedding band from our range: “Ring is absolutely perfect, it is exactly what we were looking for, for our wedding.”
The Crest has a brushed finish with contrasting polished bevelled edges. The white gold PVD finish gives it a warmer, brighter shade of silver than natural tungsten — closer to the tone of a traditional white gold band. It’s a clean, unbroken surface that catches the light evenly.
Available in 6mm and 8mm. Both widths share the same stylish design. The comfort-fit interior is curved for all-day wear — there’s no hard edge against the finger.Michael from Kingston upon Hull summed it up: “Lovely, quality ring.” — Michael Rawlings, Kingston upon Hull — verified Crest buyer
Why Tungsten with a White Gold Finish
Tungsten carbide is one of the hardest materials used in jewellery — 9 on the Mohs scale, one step below diamond. It won’t scratch from everyday contact, won’t bend under pressure, and won’t tarnish from moisture or skin.
The white gold appearance comes from PVD coating — a vapour deposition process that bonds colour at a molecular level. Traditional white gold gets its brightness from rhodium plating, which wears away and needs reapplying every two to three years. PVD doesn’t wear the same way. The finish is permanent under normal daily wear.
Tungsten can’t be resized. If the fit isn’t right, return it free and we’ll exchange it the same day it arrives.
How it Compares
A white gold wedding band from a high-street jeweller costs several times what you’d pay for the Crest — and will need rhodium replating within a few years. Tungsten with PVD holds its finish indefinitely without maintenance.
Buyers across our tungsten range consistently describe their rings as looking and feeling far more expensive than they expected. Nigel from Letchworth said his tungsten ring was “even better than I had expected — beautifully finished, has a great weight.”
Buying This as a Gift?

Jenna from Egham bought a wedding band from our range and said:
“So happy with my husband to be’s wedding band. A design that was more him and something we hadn’t found anywhere else.”

“Great customer service. Nice packaging, beautiful ring and arrived on time.”
Dennis Baffoe Agyei, Tamworth
Tungsten carbide is comparable in density to 18K gold, and buyers across the range mention weight as the first thing they notice — it feels like proper jewellery, not a lightweight alternative. The most repeated observation is that the ring looks and feels far more expensive than expected, with the PVD finish and tungsten weight creating a high-end read.
“Ring is absolutely perfect, it is exactly what we were looking for, for our wedding, my partner loves it and the quality is unmatched.”
Rebecca Turner, Ayr
